About David Cheong

Hi and welcome to Davidclicks.net.

Thanks for dropping by this blog where I pour out my visions, sights, experience and especially my work here. Well, you could call it my very own personal dumpsite lol!

Photography is a love where it started off 3 years back and pretty basic in fact where I shot almost anything and everything. Now I'm a full fledged weddings and portrait photographer only, but sometimes, I also indulge in the occasional events photography as well to widen my views and perspective. To view more of my works, do visit RPStudios Photography. For inquiries or that you just want to share some love, why not drop me an email here.

I would love to hear from you!

    So Julie……

    Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Not sure if you remember him, but I’m sure most of you do.

Till date, this is still my favorite song from him although it wasn’t as popular as Evening News or Operator, The Line is Dead. If only he continued on……

    Sorry

but continuation from my KK post will have to wait a bit haha!

Truth is, I have so many pending photos I might die sigh. I think its about time that I design a better workflow for myself, one that would cater to my workload, social life and others (e.g. tv series and such haha) so that its better managed and I have time for everything. Right now, all I could manage is to sleep pretty late at night and I have to get up early in the morning, and its not healthy I tell you when the minimal amount of sleep I need is 12 hours!!!!

Yes I’m a pig, so sue me haha!

Anyways lets not talk about that and head on over to something a lil more interesting like, the Hennessy Artistry Finale at Club Quattro, KL. Woooooot I’m sure some people are still jizzing from the awesome party and fyi, just a mention first, I was standing so close to Lenka, I could touch her!

Ok, that sounded totally wrong lol but you know what I mean haha!

Hsiao Hung Jen came up first and yeah I did like the music but I find his singing a bit annoying with trying to mix in some slight Christina Aguilera vocals in it and some rapping. I’m not sure whether it was just me but his performance did seemed longer than the others and it felt like there were never ending songs coming from this guy. I heard that he was an up and coming artist but nah.

Gimme Gary Cao, Eason Chan, David Tao or Justin Lo and I’m happy with that already haha

    Next up was Paul Freeman.

Truthfully, I never heard of him and while it does do much justice to my expectations, he certainly did blow everybody’s mind! A rocker in nature, he rocked the entire club to his beats and sang awesomely and seriously, how does no one know him? Well in a way, I guess there are many others just like him but how about him inviting Hsiao Hung Jen up to do a number with him.

I think that was the only time I liked Hsiao Hung Jen’s performance haha!

Lenka as expected, was awesome and everybody loved her! She wow-ed the crowd by just standing up on stage and boy she is really cute! Am not talking about her looks but the way she dances and shakes to her songs while she sing haha. It feels like watching a 10 year old child dancing and singing and maybe that’s the reason why everybody loved her all over the world. And of course I’m one of the lucky few whom get to watch her up close hehe wooottt!

Boys Like Girls took some time to set up the stage.

One thing I noticed about all the acts were that each of them had their own instruments except for the drums but BLG, well, they brought the entire set with them, including a mike stand which carries a whole lot of guitar picks and guess what, I got 2 of them haha! Each specially made with Boys Like Girls insignia on it, so *cough* who wants to buy from me? Hahahaha!

Oh well, one thing I love about them is their showmanship. Boy, these guys sure know how to rock it out and you should have seen how crazy the crowd was the entire time of their performance. Heck the crowd was so wild, I almost fell over a couple of times and even the videocamera guy was scolding people for pushing haha but you can’t help it I guess because it is of course a concert and people are there to enjoy and go wild.

Overall, it was one of the best H-Artistry that this year has to offer and definitely one the better performances that I’ve been to this year. Wonder what H-Artistry has installed for us next year hehe as I’m definitely looking forward to another awesome show!

    EXCLUSIVE!!!

And you’ve seen it first only at this blog buahahaahaha!!

So I was at H-Artistry party last night in Quatro, Avenue K where somehow I managed to get right in front and literally right in front of the stage and the acts were only an arms length away from me. Yeah, I could touch Lenka from where I was standing, how awesome was that haha! But anyways, when Boys Like Girls came up on stage and started performing, I noticed Martin Johnson’s wristband was a bit different from an entry/artist wristband but I didn’t think much about it until I got back home and reviewed my photos.

Yeah, I saw the word ‘SUCKS’ first and it prompted me to look ever further through my photos when I saw half a word, ‘TTER’ and the first thing that came into my mind was Twitter. Yes, I love twitter and I don’t think I can survive my office days without it but that is a whole different matter haha!

To again reconfirm it, I searched through my other photos and there it was, the other half of the word which confirms it as ‘TWITTER’. Yeah, I’m still wondering why even until now but who cares anyway right? Until I stumbled upon another photo I had which showed the rest of the wristband that says ‘Sunny-Sixkiller‘ and being curious, I Google-ed and I found out that it was an apparel that Martin pimps out alot.

Haha I know, random but yet interesting little trivia eh hehe!

Oh well, how about this photo for all the BLG fans out there as a sneak preview to a more complete post of H-Artistry later. I love it but do you like it, haha!
