About David Cheong

Hi and welcome to Davidclicks.net.

Thanks for dropping by this blog where I pour out my visions, sights, experience and especially my work here. Well, you could call it my very own personal dumpsite lol!

Photography is a love where it started off 3 years back and pretty basic in fact where I shot almost anything and everything. Now I'm a full fledged weddings and portrait photographer only, but sometimes, I also indulge in the occasional events photography as well to widen my views and perspective. To view more of my works, do visit RPStudios Photography. For inquiries or that you just want to share some love, why not drop me an email here.

I would love to hear from you!

Am currently really extremely busy now…

Especially when photobooks and website is rushing my butt to complete it as fast as possible. Hope that I do not die from over-exhaustion and hopefully it’ll all be worth it, which I’m sure it will. Here’s to it opening more possibilities and doors for myself and seeing my hardwork pay off with a smile on my face.

To those that helped, a really really big thank you.

Check back for more updates, and here’s to hoping that the website will be completed by this Thursday, although its just a simple one lol!

lol at some random title for this blogpost haha!

Been listening to alot of chinese songs lately. Am wondering whether is it the emo in me, or rather the Chinese in me creeping out. Yes I am in fact a banana as I can’t speak/understand a word or two of mandarin. Well maybe one lah haha! And seriously, I still wonder at times why I listen to it even though I don’t understand a word that they are singing about. But maybe when it comes to good music, one can tell even without having to understand right? Kind of like Pink Martini, a band from Portland whom I love alot that plays Latin, Lounge, Classical and Jazz and amazingly enough, their songs are in various languages from French to Arabic and even Japanese and Modern Greek!

    How’s that for awesome varieties!

But anyways, enough of random stuffs as this post is mainly (yeah, mainly lah not all about lol) Joshua and his graduation wooott! About a couple of weeks back, I attended Joshua’s graduation which was held in Wangsa Maju’s TAR College and boy was this an experience because this was the first time I went further than the basketball court in the campus lol!

Reminds me of good old times when I used to sneak in to play basketball in TAR haha!

But yeah, a big congratulations to you Joshua. You have finally made it out of college and into the working world! Or if you intend to study even more then its back to college/university for you again haha! But in whatever you do, I’m sure that you’ll do just awesome in it. Just trust in God, have faith in him and he’ll provide to you the way.

And of course work hard towards it lah yeah haha!

And at the same time, another friend whom I’ve always hold close to is graduating this Saturday!

Gee gee, if you’re reading this a big congratulations to you ok! Your evil schemes of getting me not to attend it has finally worked as I will be in Melaka during the weekend but oh well, at least I’m sure that there’ll be photos of you in your cute graduation gown hahaha! But seriously, am glad that you’re finally over your studies already and I’m sure that you have been looking forward to it for a very long long time lol!

Remember, always trust in God and that he’ll always be there for you no matter what. Oh and hope that you don’t get posted too far away lol but no matter where you go, I’m sure that you will be a blessing to the people there as you have to me and I’m glad to have such a great friend and sister like you!

Oit, remember lunch this week before your graduation ok!

You know, it’s entirely all your fault

that I’m now crazy about this, I’m blaming you Kel Li!

Heck it’s not even only me but also the others that have tried it as well especially Jen because whenever a twitter about me going up to KLCC for a boost of pure awesomeness, I’ll definitely get a “NO! Don’t you dare go without me”, but I still go anyway haha!

    What am I talking about?

I’m talking about the latest addition to spice things up in Malaysia, coming all the way from Australia which is their very own Boost Juice Bars! I have to admit that I had never tried anything like it before and the closest I ever got to drinking juices was the juice boxes available in all supermarkets and 7 11.

I and the usuals were fortunate enough to meet the great people whom brought Boost Juice Bars down here to KL, Nick and his wife Soraya and we started clicking right away with them being superbly friendly and we have a lot in common as well!

The entire time, our eyes were fixated on the menu which displayed a variety of juices and the type of servings they provide and the one thing that caught my eye was the Wheatgrass Shot. Yup, its wheatgrass juice served in a shot glass and imagine how I felt when I heard it haha!

Although different, but certainly worth a try someday… when I get the courage to do it!

Here’s a breakdown of what we tried that night:

    1. Brekkie to go-go which is as it is, a breakfast to go super smoothie.
    2. Mango Tango Crush which was my favorite among all, definitely fruit crushes are the best!
    3. King William Chocolate for the chocolate indulgence lovers out there who want some 99% fat free chocolate drink
    4. Energiser Juice is a fresh juice with a combination of oranges, strawberries, banana and an energiser booster
    5. Green Tea Mango Mantra a super smoothie with some green tea flavor for the kick
    6. Mango Magic, how could anyone ever resist anything with mango in it, especially when this is a low fat smoothie
    7. Tropical Pina Colada – pineapple low fat smoothie is the way to go, with additional banana, coconut milk, vanilla yoghurt and ice to tantalize your taste buds

Loads of combinations to choose from, one can die happy already!

This is me, dying happy with overloading on Boost!

I guess as time moves on, one must appreciate how health is important to all of us and both Nick and Soraya can testify that these juices really works as they are both all for being really active in outdoor sports activities. I guess that we Malaysians are pretty ignorant most of the time (sad to say) when it comes to personal health and even myself have come to realise it.

I even go to gym regularly these days, proud of me yet? Haha!

They have a real cute menu to read, like seriously!

With a variety of products that uses fresh fruits and its own yogurt recipe, it certainly does make juices taste better even if one is not used to it. Besides, the staff are real friendly, energetic and they’re all about fun which could be a culture shock to some as it is quite uncommon here but pleasant to have it around.

Not only that, if you are hungry, they also offer some snacks for you to munch on such as the organic popcorn, banana bread, and if you are feeling healthy why not try their energy bars as well.

Located at the 2nd floor, Centre Court of KLCC one can’t miss such a happy and colorful place to see and it seems that there will be more outlets opening elsewhere which I’m currently hoping for and before they do, why not head on down to their KLCC outlet and give it a try.

If you don’t know what type of juice to try, here’s something cool!

I was told that the Mango Magic, All Berry Bang, Energizer Juice, Strawberry Squeeze and Mix Your Own Juice is their best sellers so what can go wrong haha. Do check them out at their website as well right here if you require more information, have fun playing with the fruits falling down as well if you already know what I mean haha!

Left to right: Nigel, Kel Li, Nick, Soraya, Jen, myself, Joshua

PS: If you have a twitter account as well, add them up at @boostmalaysia and if you have facebook, be a fan! Add them up here!

    Awesome weekend I had,

    Monday, July 6th, 2009

    what about yours?

A pretty busy an hectic weekend I had with back-to-back shoots here and there and also, a birthday party to attend. But who says I’m complaining haha, instead I kind of liked it a lot since I am of course doing something that I really love!

Saturday morning was a full day schedule where I and some other photographers were given a chance to photograph 2 awesome Subaru cars and included in the package, was Jezamine Lim, the winner of 2009’s FHM Girl Next Door competition. Just when you thought that the weather was extremely hot, it got hotter when she arrived!

That’s cause the sun was up higher already lahhh ish what you thinking all lol!

A bit thank you to Kim for organizing this, and hopefully I get to win the competition lah yeah hahaha and also to Jezamine for brazing the hot sun to give us really awesome photos.

Awww, Nigel looks so cute here lol!

Next, it was a rush back home for a quick bath after a quick lunch with Fried Beef, Kim, Bugs and Amkay and then its another rush down to 1 Utama to organize and help make Nigel’s birthday celebration a little more fun, especially for us hehe!

But more on that later, or rather just watch the video that Joshua will be posting up soon once he’s done with the editing’s and upload hehe. And yeah and happy birthday Nigel, how does it feel to turn 26 in the next few coming days hehe!

The next day, it was a rush around town, back to PJ, and back up to KL again lol! In the morning, I was in Best Western Premier Seri Pacific Hotel for the Bridal Fair jointly organized by the hotel and Weddings Malaysia. And also because one of my partners has a booth there as well so I went and check it out lah haha. It wasn’t too bad and you can see loads of pretty pretty things all shiny there, makes you feel like touching it haha!

Then it was a drive back down to PJ to purchase a desktop, submit photos to clients and back up to Pavilion for an event shoot. It was a pretty big event actually, even Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the PM’s wife came and officiate the event wtf and guess what the event is actually all about…

    Yup, the Megasale Carnival launch!

Lol, wanting people to spend more money, even the launch was ritzy-fied. From performances all around, it does feel carnival-ish and it was generally really fun photographing the event. Although tiring with having to run back and forth between outside the main entrance of Pavilion to the centre court where the officiating ceremony and speeches were given, it felt good to be always on your feet and that’s what I love about this job hehe!

Oh well that was my weekend in summary, how was yours lol!
