About David Cheong

Hi and welcome to Davidclicks.net.

Thanks for dropping by this blog where I pour out my visions, sights, experience and especially my work here. Well, you could call it my very own personal dumpsite lol!

Photography is a love where it started off 3 years back and pretty basic in fact where I shot almost anything and everything. Now I'm a full fledged weddings and portrait photographer only, but sometimes, I also indulge in the occasional events photography as well to widen my views and perspective. To view more of my works, do visit RPStudios Photography. For inquiries or that you just want to share some love, why not drop me an email here.

I would love to hear from you!

BMM3, the biggest gathering by far!

    Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

and there’s no need for any justification on that haha!

Missing out on the previous one, and this being the biggest by far with no limit to the number of people attending and by that I mean a whopping 35 people whom attended, it just made myself even more wanting myself to come. Being very excited, meeting new bloggers as well as some whom I have known only through blogs, I knew it was really going to be a blast!

Not to mention having 2 people from Singapore makes it merrier as well haha!

Meeting point, McD’s Cineleisure Damansara where most of us had our lunch there and some, well desert with some pre-made Krispy Kreme doughnuts brought by Aaron. And yes whenever bloggers are gathered, there’s bound to be loads of cam-whorings with each other, DSLRs all coming out and flashing one another which kinds of makes me wonder, has bloggers transcend to becoming photographers already lol!

A must group photo before going into the screens first yo!

Although not all of them are here as some came after that and some were late haha! After the movie was yumcha session where instead of mamak, we become a bit the high class and went to Laundry to have a drink and chit chat and yes that includes more photo sessions of each other.

And here comes the original DGMB members…

Although I do wish that all were there and yes I miss most of them especially their company but once in a while, we do go out and catch up with each other no matter how busy and no matter how far, yes we still do communicate via gmail threads which have already lasted a year and really, you wouldn’t want to know how much emails it has already been accumulated so far.

All in all, to summarize it, I MISS THE HELL OUT OF YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did I got last weekend woooott!!

Went for a holiday for a weekend and it was a blast! Had many of the local favorite foods, explored the many tourist destinations that tourist are meant to see and yes, we even had a complete map and tourist look on our faces coupled with some wrong turnings and loads of laughter with it and in the end, we still made it back in one piece…

For those whom already are in my facebook list, you know already but for those who aren’t, so where lah haha!

Yuen Min & Ching Li’s Wedding

    Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Finally in the midst of playing around with Lotus Notes, Lotus Server, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word, I have the energy and time to do a full update.

Other than the fact I’m trying very hard to laze rest in between work lol! Yeah like I said before previously, recently I attended the wedding of a friend whom I have known for God knows how long which made it all the more special because seeing someone you’ve known for a really long time finally finding the happiness that most people dream off, somehow makes you really happy for them!

Like any other Chinese weddings, it started off with groom coming lyover to the bride’s side to pick her up and yes he and his ‘heng tai’ has to go through the many stages of hell’s pain and punishment ordeal dealt to them by the bride’s side but maybe I was just being a weee bit too exaggerating haha!

Actually, I don’t mind being the one to inflict all the torture games though lol!

I don’t really know much about what happened after they went upstairs because I went ahead into the bride’s room to have a private photoshoot session with her just for a few minutes and you have seriously gotta love the walls of the room. All pinkish purpleish making it a really nice background for the shoot and I guess you just have to make do with the available lighting and flash on hand haha!

    But I love the results!!

Finally the groom managed to get into the room and everything ended pretty well. The groom swept the bride off her feet (not literally), brought her downstairs, conducted the tea ceremony, had some family portraits shot and was chauffeured to the hotel while awaiting for the dinner at night.

    Filling in some chilling

    Saturday, May 16th, 2009

in the middle of the week which made it so much better!

Need to chill real bad and escape from all the stressful environment that I have at work and even at home, I decided to attend Urbanattics Acoustic Showdown at Capsquare. It has really been a while since I last attended a gig and yes it was pretty relaxing although at some point during the gig, it became unbearable for some time but thank God it was only for 2 songs haha!

    More on that later!

A friend was there to compete as well, Darren from An Honest Mistake and one third of Army of Three which makes it even more awesome knowing that there is a friend to support as well. And being Darren, there would be many who come to support since he’s so likeable by many hahaha!

Yes, you owe me for that LOL!

To win the showdown, one must vote but to get the voting slip, they must first make a purchase of RM10 at Urbanattic which I think doesn’t seem too bad. Some of the gigs that I have been to will charge you RM20 or even RM30 and you still won’t get anything other than your entrance but for gigs at Urbanattic, entrance is free and you are free to choose whether you want to spend or not.

Some of the gigs were pretty good which made it hard to vote, and some were pretty normal. One particularly was unbearable for myself and maybe there are some who loved it but I don’t. I don’t even know what genre of music that they were playing when on one end, they had accoustic, on another they had one guy reading poems and yeah on the other end one guy screaming his heart out, super syok sendiri.

But still, kudos for trying to be different!

Oh and yes, a big congratulations to Darren for winning the solo performance of the showdown, you have always had it in you and you will make it big! Next time for band photos, call me to take ok haha!

PS: Photos are so static because I was too lazy to move around and I just wanted to chill lol!
